Hello Roach Riders,
Happy Holidays to all! Fred and crew have been busy working on the trail system. The new NFG trail is cut in, mulched, and ready to go, should be a nice smooth ride this year. Now we are just waiting (impatiently) for snow. I think it may be time to do a snow dance. Hope to be riding soon. Please check out the website for the updated membership application if you have not paid your dues yet this season. Hello Roach Riders,
The annual club meeting/trail work weekend was held on Oct. 22-23. Many showed up to participate in the meeting and help maintain the wonderful trails that we all ride! Hard working club members signed trails, cut brush, and marked trails to prepare for the upcoming season. Members who attend and helped get the trails ready were able to stay at the Kokadjo Cabins & Trading Post courtesy of Fred and Marie (thank you). If you do any work on the trails, please make sure that Marie has record of your time. Saturday night was the annual potluck feast and election of officers. Once again the cooks went all out; chicken pot pie, soup, chili, corn bread, pasta, beans, pulled pork, etc., etc., YUM. The results of the election were: Richie Alexander, President, Andy Diskes, Vice President, John Diskes, Treasurer, Heidi Mansir, Secretary (still not sure how that happened), and Jeff Gagnon, Clerk. The final item on the meeting agenda was a discussion of membership dues. Members voted to modify the dues structure to only have two levels; family membership at $30 per year and Business Membership at $100 per year. A great time was had by all!! If you have not renewed your membership, it’s time. (Fred says I can be a little more assertive here but I figured I would save the strong language for next month :) ) If you need a copy of the membership form you can print a copy of the membership application from the website. |
