Trail Conditions
February 7, 2019 - There continues to be some confusion on what trails are open between Kokadjo and Kineo, and Kokadjo and NE Carry. I got my Crayons out and drew a colored map that you can see below.
The orange trail from Kokadjo follows the same old trail but it ends at the lake in Spencer Bay. If you are familiar with the lake, you can use this to get to Rockwood and points west.
The blue trail is how you get to NE Carry. You go from Kokadjo west to the NFG trail, then north to the Ragged trail, then go west back to Route 66. You will have to travel one mile of plowed road (marked in red) which is allowed in this section only and then head north on the #1 road. Go north to the first junction and go west on the #8 road to Ross Farm road and follow to NE Carry.
Hopefully this helps. NE Carry is open and they have quite the deer herd this year. The groomer has been out and we have hit every trail so conditions are decent. Now if the rain would go away we should be in good shape.
